| Approach charts on the
Kindle DX are full sized and razor sharp. The device itself has no wires
and is just right for handling comfortably in the cockpit. The smaller
screen on the original Kindle displays charts in a smaller size and with
less clarity. Pilots with less than perfect vision will probably prefer
the Kindle DX. Currently, approach charts by
airport are available for the original Kindle using the LiveBriefs
facility. This downloads current charts and airport and weather
information to your Kindle via Whispernet. Amazon will charge you $0.15
per megabyte for Whispernet delivery.
LiveBriefs are available for both the original
Kindle and the Kindle DX. Complete TERPs volumes and A/FDs are only
available for the DX and can be downloaded from this website manually or
by using AirBrief's automated file manager. |
