Approach charts on the Kindle DX are full sized and razor sharp. The device itself has no wires and is just right for handling comfortably in the cockpit. The smaller screen on the original Kindle displays charts in a smaller size and with less clarity. Pilots with less than perfect vision will probably prefer the Kindle DX.

Currently, approach charts by airport are available for the original Kindle using the LiveBriefs facility. This downloads current charts and airport and weather information to your Kindle via Whispernet. Amazon will charge you $0.15 per megabyte for Whispernet delivery.

LiveBriefs are available for both the original Kindle and the Kindle DX. Complete TERPs volumes and A/FDs are only available for the DX and can be downloaded from this website manually or by using AirBrief's automated file manager.

FAA Airport/Facility Directories are available for the Kindle DX. Download them from this website manually or using AirBrief's automated file manager. Jump quickly to any airport using our pageView index. It's the first page in the A/FD and can be accessed instantly.

AirBrief documents are hosted on Amazon S3 high-speed file servers. It costs us a lot to provide, but guarantees that you will never have to wait because a lot of people are requesting downloads. No sluggish transfers, no bottlenecks. Unlimited bandwidth ensures that you receive fast, reliable and stable service.
